Anyone remember a Best Products store in Central/North Austin? I worked at one for about 6 months back in 76 or 77. About 10 of us got fire one night 'cause someone shipped a joint in one of those vaccum tubes that was used to request the orders. Trying to remember where it was located. (and no it wasn't me who shipped it!)

Anderson Ln., just east of Burnet, right? Across from the old "Stick and Nail".

I think you are thinking of Edison's. Best was on 290, west of Cameron.

funny what 32 years (most of it livng in NoCa) will do to one's memory! Now that I'm back in Austin I'm trying to recall old places and share stories with my wife!
Wasn't there (least one location)of Steamboat Springs in the Central/North area as well? Remember seeing Balcones Fault there many times.

Steamboat Springs

Yes, there was a Steamboat Springs on Burnet Road, I think, and Balcones Fault played there regularly. Not far from Holiday House and Jambalaya restaurant, as memory serves.
